Why does system.pagenavigation reset the template to the standard one when scrolling through the pages?

Good day.
There is a section directory and system.pagenavigation\navigation\template.php.
I copied it from the core of the system.pagenavigatio folder, the round template, and renamed it.
I chose this template in the catalog, but when choosing the second or 3rd page, all pagination becomes standard.
Tell me why this might be?
