Why does Skype lose messages?

Available:

1. Desktop Skype version 8.58.0.93. Installed as a snap package on Elementary OS.
2. Skype for android of the same version. Installed via Google Play.

Problem:

Sometimes (not always) messages in the desktop client chat do not appear. The interlocutor writes something, but I don’t see it. And this happens both when Skype is “minimized”, when it hangs in the tray, and when the active window is open. Push notifications also do not come in both cases (the notifications themselves are in order, other applications work). My status can be anything - both Active and Away - this does not affect anything. The phone is not online at the same time (it is rarely online during business hours). Rebooting Skype, as well as rebooting the OS, does not solve the problem. Everything is fine with the Internet, the channel is stable.

If you go online from your phone, after an indefinite time (sometimes several hours, sometimes a couple of days, but definitely not immediately), missed messages begin to arrive on Skype on it. After reading them on the phone, the messages instantly start to be displayed in the desktop client, but their relevance has already been lost.

Question:

Why are messages lost? What can be done with this (well, or in which direction to dig)?

@poisons

Dig aside throw out Skype and forget about it. After buying Microsoft, they broke it.
Exactly the same garbage happens on win10.

you will not find an answer ; it
is treated situationally: rejection of Android, checking the expected dialogs, etc.
"why" - it is possible to explain with the programming specification, but the solution will be fixed on the side of Microsoft

@Drno

Are you the only one having this problem with this employer?
If yes, you need to dig what is wrong with you ... If not, the answer is obvious.
And yes, skype is in the furnace ... it's better than a cart right now, in my opinion there is no application
