Why does NetworkManager knock on .bc.googleusercontent.com:http?

I did sudo watch lsof -i, I noticed that when you connect to WiFi, entries appear

NetworkMa  <PID>            root   29u  IPv4 418933      0t0  TCP user:port-><IP>.bc.googleusercontent.com:http (SYN_SENT)

is it normal for NetworkMager to knock on bc.googleusercontent.com? Is this some kind of telemetry?
