Why did the keyboard fail?

The point is the following. Once a week, the keyboard on a macbook pro 17 years old fails for several days. It just doesn't respond to pressure. I exclude the ingress of moisture and dust, I use it too carefully and blow off all the dust particles. It hasn't happened in 3 years.

There was a special case, after which the problems began, with which I tend to attribute the problem. Downloaded 30GB of data via torrent with FileVault enabled. Literally immediately after that, Claudia suddenly refused. After a couple of days, it turned on, as if nothing had happened, there were no problems for several days. I loaded the recovery mode - there the system recommended disabling FileVault, which I did, the problems ended, but not for long
. There is Windows on the screw next door and it also refuses to work.

USB keyboard works fine. But at the same time, I cannot use special keys, like option, to simply reboot through bootcamp into Windows.

Does the trackpad work? If not, then this is the problem of the cable that goes from the mother to the trackpad, it passes over the battery, most likely due to overheating it collapses over time. I had the same thing with 2 poppies in a row, it works fine for a year, then it starts to fail, over time it completely stops working. I repaired it under warranty in the service, they change the lower unit (case, batteries, keyboard, trackpad) completely, but it doesn’t help much, after 2-3 months the keyboard + trackpad stop working, the last time I changed the cable to Chinese, while it works like a clock
