Why did the file system get corrupted?
I took out a 16 GB SD Transcend memory card from the camera, formatted it through a smartphone, then wrote my data to it, after which 42 MB remained free on the card.
I removed the card from the adapter and put it away.
When I inserted it into a smartphone to transfer data, the card turned out to be damaged and the computer writes that the file system is damaged.
Question:
How could data be damaged on a memory card in 1 week?

I don't think your question makes any sense. How was the data corrupted? - yes, whatever. The point is only in the problem of their restoration. If I'm not mistaken, there is software for data recovery even on a damaged file system - clusters (blocks on the media) are read directly there, and those of them that (according to the program) are data chains related to one file, it offers to overwrite like a file.
As for restoring the file system - well, try to return your flash drive back to the camera and let us know what it will beep about it. Most likely, he will ask you to format it. Let him do this, and then you can again do data recovery (quick formatting will not destroy them).
