Is it possible to reprogram hdd?
I often get an HDD after a fall. This is usually after they turned to specialists and they were told that: only a donor and only hardcore and only a kick is expensive. I also answer them and 95% refuse and leave. In most cases, after the fall of the HDD, the head flies out. For example: they brought a 1TB HDD, opened it, 1 pancake had two heads and the top head flew out. Accordingly, the question is: if a hard drive has 1 head blown out and the second one is intact, can it be reprogrammed to one head?

To remove the information, only the donor and only the replacement of the block of heads, well, then everything goes to the dump.
Turning off your head won't help.
Of course you can. There is a special software for these purposes. For example, PC-3000 (expensive but versatile), WD Marvell (WD only, there are free old versions). Also take a look at the ru-board forum , there is a lot of information on all manufacturers. Once I tried to repair my hard, but nothing really happened. Maybe you'll have more luck.
