Why did the external monitor stop working at 1920x1080?

the external monitor works at a maximum of 1280.
Where can I dig?
I replaced the cable, I'm still sinning on the adapter. Video mirroring of monitors is disabled. Macbook overloaded.
Up: Plugged the adapter into another monitor and everything works. It seems that the VGA monitor is buggy, if you connect it under DVI, then everything works fine. can I somehow solve this problem?
