Why did nvidia kernel mode driver stop responding?
In general, it all started with the fact (I'm not sure if this is related to the problem) periodically the second monitor began to go out for a second, for example, when watching a video on YouTube.
But I consider the development of events from the moment when during the update of the nvidia driver I did not want to install some kind of nvidia share. Then I noticed that when evaluating the system, the process was stalled either on directx 9 3d ALU or directx 10 3d ALU.
I must say right away that there was nothing like this before, the hardware did not change, the computer is regularly cleaned, there is no dust, the thermal paste is fresh. Moreover, the assembly in May will be exactly 3 years old, the problems started about 3 months ago.
Deciding to act drastically, I reinstalled Windows 7, installed all the necessary drivers, and even updated the BIOS of the motherboard. But the problem remains...
At random, I found a "sort of solution", the essence of which was one interesting point: If the core frequency is reduced by at least 1mhz in the MSI AfterBurner program, then the system evaluation runs smoothly, without any problems.
I also note that even without manipulating the GPU frequency, benchmarks are passed without problems, for example, MSI Kombustor gives excellent results.
But the stress test from AIDA64, alas, does not pass, that is, at the very beginning, at the start of the test, the driver falls off with a SUBJECT error.
What do experts say, I've given up so far, I'm nervously smoking (=
PS PSU - FSP Everst 80+ 700W, Vidyakha - Palit GTX 770 JetStream 2GB, Motherboard - Asus P8H77-V.
PSS I’ll say in advance that no, I didn’t manually overclock the vidyahu, it costs factory overclocking, and I installed MSI AfterBurner to monitor temperatures and manually adjust fan speeds.
