Why can't I connect to the OpenWRT web interface?

Good afternoon. I downloaded it from the official OpenWRT website , burned it to MicroSD using the dd utility . I plugged in a flash drive, connected the power cords and Ethernet RJ45 , its other side to a laptop on linux . The network manager shows a wired connection. When you try to log in to the browser at 192.168.1.1 (specified in the documentation) , it says "Unable to connect to the site. ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED " .
I tried to connect via SSH ($ ssh [email protected]) - it worked. But what to do next? Why does the web interface not work, in openwrt it should work right away.
