Layout from psd in *nix systems. Is it possible to?

In the future, I plan to open a web studio. Is it possible to do without Windows and Photoshop?
When layout design from psd in particular.

Weird. This reminds me of the situation .. "Give me that clumsy hammer and that stupid planer. Although I am a professional in woodworking, saving is more expensive." One thing is not clear.. Why???? If there are great things sharpened for work.

Um, I work under Xubuntu, in VirtualBox Winxp / win7 is configured. xp for ie8. In Photoshop Seven. =)

Without Windows - it's easy. No photoshop, no way. Flash under wine of certain versions (especially portable) works fine.

What's the problem with using GIMP? Not an expert in layout, but why aren't options considered?

Installed under wine photoshop CS2, it works without problems and brakes.
But I don't know about color separation.
The current PlayOnLinux has a photoshop cs4 installation icon, which means it works the same way without problems.
