I have three arrays on an Adaptec 6405 controller. 2 raid 1 arrays, and 1 raid 10 array.
Two hotspares were also added - one is assigned to raid 10, the second to both the raid 1 array.
A disk in one of the raid 1 crashed a couple of days ago , automatically for some reason hotspare did not work, I had to poke my hands. Rebuild was successful, the failed disk became ready)
It was done incorrectly that it was pulled out and inserted. After that, they turned on such a thing as copyback (that is, copying data to a new disk with hotspare) and he went to copy data to the failed disk)
In general, this business was interrupted, the failed disk was pulled out, the array was checked and switched to the optimal status. Copyback is disabled.
Inserted a new disk. But the problem is that it does not allow you to assign it as a hotspare for an array that broke. Maxview sttorage manager did not find anything related to this. Apparently this is somehow connected with the fact that earlier the disk in the array was hotspare.

The same question - the disk is ready, I do HS - but nothing changes, the rebuild does not start.
