Why do some programs need to be installed and not just downloaded?

Good day everyone! Such a question arose, why can some programs be simply transferred from disk to disk (for example, NotePad ++) and everything will work, and some need to be installed (for example, 3D Max, Photoshop, etc.)?

During installation, the program saves the necessary settings, unpacks the necessary files, checks whether the system has the necessary components.
If you simply transfer the program files, then it simply will not see them, because it will look at all the paths to the necessary files in the OS registry.
Perhaps the new system will not have the necessary components for the program to work.
The necessary libraries will not be registered in the system, and it will not be able to use them.
