Why are there positioning errors in mouse movement?
Hello.
There is a problem that I first encountered and that I had not even heard of before. Interesting in terms of experience.
There is a mouse that behaves the same on different devices, namely: when the mouse moves, the cursor moves in some places as it should, and in some places it moves as if the mouse is being carried over sandpaper.
While moving, there are dips in speed, the cursor trembles, the dynamics of cursor movement does not correspond to the dynamics of movement of the mouse itself.
The problem does not have any system, dips have different durations.
I disassembled, cleaned, there are no villi on the laser and in other places.

Is the mouse old? Most likely the laser or controller dies. This happened several times at work, usually the mouse went right under the replacement, because. modern peripherals are not distinguished by high reliability and maintainability, but resemble consumables.
According to the behavior - it looks like a bad contact / not soldered. Try to disassemble and solder everything that is possible on the board. Unless of course there is no guarantee already.
