Why are 38" monitors more expensive than larger 43" monitors with higher resolution?

All 38" monitors at 3840x1600 are much more expensive than 43" monitors at 3840x2160.
Although the larger ones have a larger area and a larger resolution, there are some pluses.
Why then are the smaller ones so much more expensive?

I know for sure about Dell - the P series is consumer goods, the U series is like for pros and the matrix is better in colors there.
I can also notice that all the expensive models on your list are particularly elongated in width . Which is far from the mainstream now and therefore is produced in not so large quantities, which means, as a result, a large cost price.

I suspect it's the curvature that makes them harder to manufacture. Perhaps in the future, curved dies will be stamped and their prices will decrease.

If you haven't noticed 43" - 16:9, 38" - 21:9.
21:9 have always been more expensive
