I came across a question, now I'm already choosing a second monitor with Flicker free.
I've had a Benq BL2411 for 2 years already - I'm very satisfied. There is no flickering + there is an option to turn off the blue (it is possible to stir it up programmatically). Although the monitor itself didn’t really like the menu (brake) and 2 dead pixels + stand is not the toughest - but the eyes are more important) And the built-in speakers are quite normal, loud enough and not too much sand (listening is quite comfortable) - it’s quite possible to watch videos on youtube or for background music. (compared to AOC I2360P) My
eyes practically do not get tired, I sit at the computer almost all the time.
Pencil test and video camera pass (no flicker)
Before that, there was a PWM monitor (AOC I2360P) - my eyes and head hurt (or even burned) if I sat for 3 days for more than 8 hours, as if I were watching welding - although I set the brightness low. (at the maximum it is too bright).
And even before that, there were old Samsung and Benq 17-19 "4: 3 LCDs (probably everyone remembers them), there is still no LED backlight and, accordingly, no PWM - they also pass the pencil test and immediately noticed the difference when I switched to the monitor after them AOC with PWM (my eyes began to get tired and I felt some unusual burning sensation) - I started to google, found out about Flicker free.
I sit at the monitor most of the time and there have always been problems with my eyes - severe myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism. Perhaps someone will not notice the difference (if you sit no more than 3-4 hours a day or your eyes are not so sensitive), but there is definitely some effect from PWM.
