Who has experience using head units on Android (in cars)?

I want to change the head unit and Android devices seem to be painfully attractive. You need a head unit in the regular socket VW Passat B6. What can you advise? Or even better, share your experience of using such devices.

I put myself in a Toyota Prius. Completely satisfied.
Reversing camera, support for all possible audio-video formats + navigation and registrar that do not clutter up the windshield. There is no need to pay the dealer a lot of money to update the navigation.
There were no freezes, it turns on for a relatively long time (40 seconds).
Of the shortcomings - a little worse radio reception.

Very different build quality and support from different manufacturers. Some of them had a lot of grant cases, at one time I was engaged in the installation. You will not find firmware updates, with rare exceptions for more or less branded ones. Cheap copies often had problems with radio reception, low sensitivity. And the most important drawback, as already mentioned, is a long inclusion, because. The OS is loaded every time you turn it on.
