Who has experience posting projects on kickstarter.com?

Hello, Habra (Toaster) community. The project is almost ready for publication on the site indicated in the title (gadget project), when I suddenly thought about the need to obtain a patent for the device itself. If there are those among you who have already posted something on kickstarter: gadgets or some of their developments, it would be very interesting to hear their opinion on this matter. How did you approach this issue? If patented, then the process itself is interesting.
PS: The device itself does not have any novelties in terms of technology or anything like that, but as I understand from various articles, the whole question is how to correctly designate it in the application, so you can find a technological novelty in the sieve.
