Who has a sensible manual for diagnosing and repairing a PSU?

Hello. Who has a good and sensible manual for diagnosing and repairing a PSU, please unsubscribe.

And here's the problem. The PSU starts up, spins, but the computer does not start. Although with another PSU everything is ok. And it still stinks of burning. What to do? I want to learn!

Here is a good general overview of the PSU www.thg.ru/howto/power_supplies/print.html Here is a forum, diagram
, etc. elwo.ru/publ/remont/remont_bp_atx/3-1-0-353
. Sometimes the conders are swollen after a voltage jump. Can be replaced.
Otherwise, it’s easier to buy a new one ... BUT digging is the right thing to do.

I usually check the input circuit first: fuse, varistor, diode bridge and capacitors. Next I check the capacitors. If that doesn't help, I usually throw it away.
Tip: before throwing it out, take out the fan, fuse and inlet filter - it can come in handy. On FSP Epsilon, for example, 120mm standby fans are a good thing, because You can't buy the same ones on the go.

What do you want to get to the question, if you didn’t even write what you know how to do?
