COM-Port on old PDA Qtek 2020 (Himalaya)?
In general, there is an old device of this model (WM 2002). Recently I wanted to use it as a portable handy COM-Terminal (it's still lying around idle). I installed the old Visual Studio and tried to read the enumeration of the comports. As a result, I fell into a stupor - there are no usual branches for serial ports in the registry (HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\ COM ).
Once a neighbor had a similar communicator GPS-mouse, connected by cord. I suspect that it connected directly to the com port, because there seems to be no USB-Host in it.
In general, I realized that I don’t know a lot about these devices and would like to get help from someone in the form of advice (throw it away - don’t offer it ;-))
I tried to look for a description of the connectors for connecting to the device. Found here andhere . But immediately noticeably made in china: the connector is the same, but the connection is different. The only good news is that there are RX and TX.
