Which wordpress files can be excluded in phpstorm?

I usually exclude default theme folders.
Is it possible to exclude wp-admin and wp-includes?
Will this affect the workflow in any way?

I usually don't use IDE VIs in projects at all.
I make a plugin - I make its folder from the plugins folder as a separate project.
I'm doing a VP theme - the same thing.
Well, yes, now I have about a hundred projects there - but versioning is awesome.
I open a project on the git - and here it is just a plugin and I see only work on it, no garbage.
Tell me - why is there such a desire in the IDE, to stuff the whole engine that other people develop?
