Which way to choose for further development?
I am 30 years old, I have worked for 5 years in the field of IT systems. admin but not in specialized companies. Now I want to move to an IT company in order to gain experience and open my own. Direction - creation and support of sites. Now about what I know:
1. According to job descriptions in my city, I fall under junior full stack.
2. While I was engaged in system administration, I got some managerial experience, a la the purchase of equipment, payment of bills, etc.
Since I have never worked in IT companies, I am interested in how it all works from the inside. Which direction will be the most useful - a developer or a tester? Does the size of a company matter? What to pay attention to? I would be grateful for any advice.

Developer: higher salary, but higher entry threshold. If you don't have experience, you won't get into a good IT company.
Tester: salaries are lower, but the entry threshold is lower, which means that there is every chance of getting into a good IT company where you can easily grow.
If you have experience in programming, then it is better to try to apply first for a developer, and then for a tester.
The size of the company is important, your salary, your development, your experience, and your comfort will depend on it. The larger the company, the more difficult and interesting the tasks, you will gain more experience and then be able to ask for more money.
My opinion may not match yours. This is fine. There is no point in criticizing.
