How to get a job as an IT specialist in the USA while on a student visa?

Worked for 5 years in the banking sector of the CIS. Have experience in Oracle, java, JavaScript, PHP.
I am in the US temporarily on a student visa, can I get a job in my profession?
Has anyone had such an experience?
