Which UPS to choose for work?
Problem: I use a laptop for work. But its power is not enough and I want to assemble a PC. Often the light is cut down, mainly in front of the heating one due to lousy wiring.
How much is needed for recharge: the calculation writes 300W + 100W reserve + monitor up to 45W. Total 450W.
Time without electricity: up to 4 hours of continuous operation.
Thank you all in advance for your constructive response.

450W.
Inverter 12-220v and a big battery from a truck, preferably a gel one. Or 24-220v and two batteries in series. Verified by personal experience.
The problem of the loss of the Internet will not be solved, because. switch in the attic, most likely without a UPS.
This is if you live in 1999. In 2020, a desktop can consume both 1000 and 1500 watts at its peak.
For 4 hours (at a power of 500 watts), you will need a non-acidic rack UPS with a battery capacity of about 200 Ah (at 12 volts).
These are 4 batteries from a car.
For you to understand the scale - a typical battery from an office UPS has a capacity of 7A * h and keeps a PC for about 5 minutes.
If we return to the idea with a laptop, a large modern PowerBank for 20-40A * h will suit you. Because a charged laptop eats about 30-45W.
This is enough for my laptop for 4 hours.
Symmetra, Chloride - just to feed the monitor for four hours (!) (!) ups are not calculated for this. They are either designed to power a set of servers (but they obviously don’t have monitors) for some time (for example, we have a 15kW symmeter that keeps the server room for two hours) or, for example, they take a large load during the start of a diesel generator (I had a chance to participate in a project to automate a bank So there is a switchboard room - where the power input is - it is a separate room in the basement with power input shields (there are two of them) and Chloride upsom of cyclopean dimensions (approximately 0.7 x 0.7 x 1.5 meters - LxWxH) - and the second same pedestal is its batteries. went to him as a gift :) This miracle-yudo-fish-whale took over the load of the entire bank for the time of switching between inputs or (if both inputs failed) for a while until the diesel starts up.
Oops - not a replacement for diesel, oops is needed to get out of an emergency ...
