Which SSD is suitable for upgrading Macbook Pro Retina 13'' late 2012?

All health!
The 128 GB SDD was no longer enough and I decided to replace it. There are two options:
1. Purchase the Transcend JetDrive 720 kit, which includes screwdrivers in addition to the drive itself, a USB case for external storage and use. This is the easiest way and ... the most expensive - for example, 480 GB cost about 25,000 rubles.
2. Buy a cheaper drive without a proprietary connector with an adapter. And then the question is - which one is suitable, what kind of adapter, interface, connector is needed?

As you, apparently, have already figured out, you have your own Apple SSD installed, located in a kind of carriage.

Buy a Transcend JetDrive Kit
We studied this topic for a long time (then we even wrote a short post), then the only alternative option was OWC SSDs (they have a lot of drives in the line).
a cheaper drive without a proprietary connector with an adapter
At the same time, this issue was also studied (but from the point of view of data recovery). I already forgot, but in my opinion, adapter users reported that CRC errors appear. However, it seems that it was about more recent Macs. We ourselves did not conduct such tests, so I have no first-hand information on this subject.
EMNIP, you can install mSATA SSD in your Macbook Pro Retina 13" late 2012 using 7+17 pinan adapter, and such a bundle will work.
Also, as far as I remember, Apple disables TRIM for third-party SSDs, so you need to enable it with the command sudo trimforce enable.
Well, a simple option - buy a used SSD (realizing a certain risk of buying a used drive).
Look at the EMC and Model Identifier, for the MacBook Pro Retina 13 "2012 this 2557and MacBookPro10,2.

It's better to take USB, but is write speed so important to you? you can take a terabyte HDD for $70 and enjoy life, and the system on ssd will remain. Or take a used original ssd, they are on ebay for around $ 150
But honestly, for me, for an M2 sata disk, such an overpayment is not worth it for file storage, if the write speed is not critical for you (such as 4k editing).
But if you so desire, any sata SSD + 500 gb pocket will come out no more than $ 100.
With adapters for your model, if you decide, then only look at sata, there are a couple of pieces on alishka + ssd, unless you look for samsung evo 860 m2.
