Which server CPU to choose for KVM virtualization?

The task is next. It is required to select a server configuration that will be partitioned into virtual machines using Proxmox. There are two suitable configurations for the same price, differing only in the processor. Since I'm not well versed in server hardware, I want to ask for advice on what to choose.
AMD Opteron 4334 (6 cores, 6 threads)
or
Intel Xeon E5-1620v2 (4 cores, 8 threads)

I would take the Xeon E5, it only has a smaller cache, in other respects it is better. Well, personal IMHO, I sympathize more with Intels, I had fewer problems with them.
