How to set up an OpenVPN network?

Raised a server on the GCP according to the instructions from DigitalOcean . Successfully reached almost to the very end, I connect with the team

sudo openvpn --config client.ovpn

, everything seems to be going well, the last message in the console

Initialization Sequence Completed

But I can only connect to the server itself, on which everything is worth it.
Actually, most likely something is crookedly configured on the server and it does not let it go further. Where can I dig, what can I fix?
