When installing ubuntu immediately white screen. Why?
Hey!
Essence of the question: I want to install ubuntu 14.04 LTS as a second system, the first one is win 7. I made a bootable USB flash drive, resets, an ubuntu window appears, it is black and white. Choosing Install Ubuntu a white screen appears and that's it. At the same time, all signs of the life of the flash drive stop.
ALT+CTRL + (F1 or F7) give nothing.

Thanks for the advice. But I already solved the problem myself.
I decided not in a very good way: instead of ubuntu 14.04 I installed 10.04. I also didn't get up on the 12th.
The launch is carried out only with the parameters of the bootloader nosplash acpi=off
run the installation in safe mode or even in text mode. it seems like a white screen appears when the window manager cannot be initialized (by the way, after installation, disabling any compiz, loading into the axis and installing a proprietary driver helps)
but yes. you most likely updated the driver in windows, this has nothing to do with ubuntu
