Which router is better in quality / price in order to raise a socks server on it?

I'm thinking of trying a protection model in which trusted applications receive proxy settings, while the rest do not.

As an option mikrotik, at least iron, at least soft on VDS, it immediately has SOCKS 4/5 out of the box
