Hey! There is a vacant not very beautiful domain under the control of webnames, applied for registration through reg. ru
I'm waiting and thinking: - can I create an account on webnames and apply there and thus speed up the transfer process to me upon release? Or does it matter?

It doesn't matter at all. But most likely, a robot will buy it a few seconds after the expiration of the domain;) Especially if the domain had a website and SEO indicators are decent....
