Which of the two M2 NVMe SSDs should you choose?
Hello!
I can’t decide between two options for 256 gigs:
1) Apacer AS2280P4 [AP240GAS2280P4-1] for 240 gigs
2) A-Data XPG SX8200 Pro [ASX8200PNP-256GT-C] for 256
The difference between them is 400 rubles.
Both have a dram buffer and also use the slc cache. The controllers, as far as I can tell, are almost the same. It seems that in A-Data it is positioned as more powerful, but there are rave reviews about Apacer that the speed is twice as high as declared (which is somewhat surprising).
According to tests (when compared with alternative ssds, since there was no direct comparison), they either go toe-to-toe, or A-Data is still a little faster.
Interested in durability and performance in operations with small files, it will have a system + develop sites under docker.
System:
Proc I5 6500

as for me, there is no point at all in overpaying for M2 in order to install the system and run a docker with sai on it. for this money it is better to buy a regular SSD twice as large (just for durability)
or buy additional RAM and let it run in memory and climb to the disk less - allocate a larger cache and it will be faster than with M2
