Which monitor to connect to Macbook Pro 15 MJLQ2?

The computer is used for web design, so a high-quality picture is needed. Most likely I will take the screen at 27".
What should I pay attention to? Are there any nuances regarding the retina? What monitor would you recommend?

1) there is a chance that at 27 inches it will not be comfortable to work simultaneously on the monitor and display.
2) as always, look at IPS matrices, now you can get a good 4K 27-inch monitor for a not very expensive price.
3) From the pros, you can connect both DVI via thunderbolt, and via hdmi. You can also connect two monitors if necessary.
I myself do backend, and video as a hobby (formerly professionally), with the advent of 15shki, like two monitors are a thing of the past, it is more convenient to do many things on the display without using a monitor.

If the eyes are used to the retina (and they are used to it, right?) And you need a high-quality picture - only 4k, ideally even 5k. Himself on this 27 " , MBP is also 15".
When picking up a monitor, I ran into several nuances. Firstly, many models have uneven illumination. Secondly, despite the usually fairly good out-of-the-box calibration, for professional color work (printing, photo, video, etc.) you will need to calibrate yourself.
Important - 4k / 5k must be connected via miniDisplayPort - DisplayPort. HDMI will only give 30Hz, which is generally unacceptable. And when working with DisplayPort cables, there may be problems with WiFi - the laptop periodically loses connection. This is an ancient problem that Apple has not only not solved, but along the way they also pretend that it does not exist. Fortunately, it is treated by setting up a WiFi router - you will have to sort through the channels and manually select the one on which the connection will not disappear.
I also advise you to immediately look after a stand for a laptop, preferably with cooling. The external monitor will work on a discrete video card, so it will always be on and the built-in beech fans will constantly buzz at maximum. When using a good external aluminum stand with fans, it is much more comfortable to work. It also (stand) allows you to position the laptop higher, which is more convenient next to a large monitor.
