Which monitor to choose so that the eyes do not get tired?

Hello everyone, such a problem:
I spent about 12 years behind a 4: 3 LG monitor and did not know any problems. I could sit tight for days and my eyes never got tired. It's time to upgrade, I took a 144Hz Benq zowie XL monitor on a VA matrix. Just terribly tired eyes after a couple of hours at the computer. If anything, the settings are, of course, adequate. The brightness is 50/40, etc... if you set the settings to 100/80, then it will tear your eyes out in the first 30 minutes!) I have been using the monitor for a year now and I don’t see any advantages other than 144Hz compared to the old monitor. Switching to an old monitor is also a horror because of the hertz, of course.
Could it be the matrix? Advise something to make the eyes feel good.

The reason that the eyes hurt is not always in the monitor.
When I arranged a room for myself, my eyes also hurt.
The problem was that the room was dark and the monitor was bright.
I decided by putting lighting that shines from the shelf to the ceiling and onto the wall a little behind the monitor. That is, the background became light and it became much easier for the eyes.

There is a real problem with monitors on the market right now. Firstly, most of the monitors are outdated simply technically in terms of ppi and color reproduction. I am very surprised that non-Retina displays are still sold and in demand.
If you want to buy a good monitor, then take a look at https://www.lg.com/us/business/desktop-monitors/lg... I’ll disappoint you right away
- its price is not the cheapest, but there are more monitors of similar quality, except for Apple nobody does. In principle, Apple itself buys matrices from LG and then assembles iMacs from them. As an alternative - buy yourself an iMac and for the next 5 years you won't even think about buying yourself a new computer.
By the way, Benq zowie XL is generally a terrible shit and just throwing money away.
The price tag for an average monitor has always been around $500, more or less a good $1000.
Professional monitors with correct color reproduction cost $5-10k.
Miser pays twice.
"Gertsovka" is generally some kind of nonsense. On modern monitors, the controller is smart enough and does not redraw the entire picture, so all this 144 hertz is pure swindle.
For all shooters, the response of the matrix is much more important, but even there 60fps is enough for the eyes.

I bought this: Samsung U28E590D. The eyes don't get tired. Less than a meter away. FreeSync + Flicker-Free technologies really work. For the eyes, that's it. (IMHO)

I have had 2x HP 24fw for a year already, the flight is normal. Behind computers for 25+ years, my eyes never got tired. Perhaps the whole point is that you need to look at the monitor as if lazily, in passing, without peering. Well, do not forget to constantly blink so that the mucous does not dry out.
Moreover, it is important to have good background lighting so that the monitor is not the only bright spot in the dark.

Buy an old monitor on Avito with a lamp backlight. CCFL
eyes hurt from LED backlight. there is no blue spectrum and blue hurts the eyes. the pupil is controlled by blue, the color of the sky. And this color is not in the LEDs.
At home - ordinary light bulbs on a spiral or halogens.
The monitor is old with ccfl backlight. Old Apples up to 2008-9 will do
