Which microphone to choose for recording a meeting of 5-10 people?
Good afternoon. Advise, please, a microphone. You need to record a conversation of a group of people in a room. Was eyeing the Samson-UB1 . But he has a usb interface, and I have a distance of about 10 meters. I understand that according to the usb standard, the cable length is not more than 5 meters?

I personally used active USB extension cables, I advise, everything is fine, up to 25 meters.

As far as I understand, a 10m extension is much more cumbersome than inserting such a microphone directly into a mini system unit and put everything into a suspended ceiling or just a ceiling and bring power and ethernet there
In our hospital, we do without any exotic USB microphones. To participate in webinars, an ordinary Skype microphone on a long stem with a 3.5mm plug is enough:
It has a cord of one and a half meters, it stands near the laptop on the speaker's table, and nevertheless, the entire conference room for a hundred people is perfectly audible.
