Which lightweight OS for nas server should I choose?

Good afternoon!
Not long ago, the task appeared to make a nas server with access to it from outside the local network.
But the problem is that you need to do this on the old hardware. In the presence of only 1GB of RAM, a 32bit processor, 1 hard drive is used for 80GB.

Once tagged, as always I bring my IMHO :)
I always used CentOS on all my NAS without any ready-made assemblies, etc. - clean OS with NFS server.
This is enough for multimedia for telly + rtorrent with a VEB face for downloading serials, and for a network drive for Windows.
And so, in principle, any linux with NFS will do for me, but centos is just everywhere and I see no reason to produce entities.
