Which laptop to buy for work (backend)?

I decided to get off the desktop and taste the delights of working while traveling. Advise a good modern powerful laptop.
(I understand almost nothing in hardware, so specific models are very welcome =)

I'm on Ubuntu, doing backend development. Projects are tough. Pieces of five simultaneously open IDE instances with different projects are also in the order of things. It is also likely that in the near future you will have to deal with video processing.

The screen is apparently 15.6'', because I can't imagine how convenient it is to carry something larger with me.

Apple is not considered for ideological reasons.
