Which laptop hard drive to choose?
The laptop is fast, but the disk is very slow. In a network game, for example, my friends' level has already loaded for a long time, and I'm still waiting for a minute, or even more. Problems also arise with programs, although in principle there are plans to increase RAM.
I would love to take an ssd, but no one sells an optibey for a laptop nearby. I’m somehow afraid to order from somewhere, although it’s basically difficult to make a mistake with the size (12.7 cm). Replacing with hdd is also inconvenient. One terabyte is whole, which is also used as storage.
In general, a number of questions appeared:
1. How much do you need to get confused in order to change the drive to optibay (connectors? dimensions? laptop features?)
2. Does it make sense to buy a smart (?) hdd with usb 3.0?
I heard that there are pretty good options with hdd. In fact, I just need to throw a few programs from adobe on it and a couple of games.
Now stands Hitachi Travelstar HTS541010A9E680

An SSD is required. But you can buy it in the mSATA form factor, i.e. it will occupy another slot, and the disk will not need to be removed.
1. How hard do you need to get confused to change the drive to optibay (connectors? dimensions? laptop features?)The biggest waste of time is going to the post office. Installed elementary.
2. Does it make sense to buy a smart(?) hdd with usb 3.0?No, I tried - it's not convenient. Internal is more convenient.
SSD is a must have. Read the reviews, which one is better. And be sure to buy a laptop with a regular HDD, it's hard to imagine today.
It makes sense to transfer file storage to an external hard drive, everything is quite fast via USB 3.
