Which is faster: wirelss or wire network?

What'up software.
How faster is data transmitted, over wifi for example, or over a wire?
On my computer, where the wire is always like 100 mbs, but on a macbook 30.
How faster and why?
I'm learning about networks, but I haven't gotten to that point yet.

I recommend always, when there is an appropriate opportunity, to use a wired connection.
In the case of a wired connection (we are talking about Ethernet), two devices (transceivers) almost always use the same medium, and there is no talk of such a concept as a "collision" in the case of full duplex mode (both devices transmit simultaneously). Also Wednesday, i.e. the wire loop between the receiver and the transmitter is more or less protected from outside influences.
In the case of a Wi-Fi connection, the same medium (electromagnetic field) is shared by multiple devices. Hence the half-duplex mode of operation (only one client transmits at a time, it cannot receive at this moment). Hence the active CSMA/CA algorithm. In addition, the environment is subject to external influences (microwaves, radars, atmospheric phenomena).

under normal conditions of crap radio, at least 1 wall to the access point and other joys, the wire wins at times.
gigabit copper now costs a penny (this, for a second, 110 -120 MB / s) over the air, if the stars aligned - well, 5-8 megabytes.
