NAS

Which home NAS should you choose?

I got to look at external hard drives and after five minutes I realized that I was licking my lips at all sorts of NAS - what a technique, it turns out, has reached.
In general, I realized that I need something ...
1) With an analogue of dropbox for Linux, Android and OS X. Paying customers does not bother as long as the price is reasonable.
2) Safe (without sticking your bare ass into the SSH network, without having to close a bunch of holes with crutches for a week after purchase).
3) Quiet and cold. Well, at least with properly organized cooling, so that the disk does not feel like the devils are frying it in a pan.
4) From the category of "set it and forget it". And so that everything is accessible to a teapot like me. No "build these packages from sources pulled from CVS, available only on a full moon".
5) It is desirable that all this stuff fit into seven or eight thousand.
In my opinion, everything. What absolutely does not matter to me is a torrent downloader (I already have a computer turned on 24/7, let it download), a media server and all that. It is planned to use as a dropbox and for backups. Well, for storing all kinds of garbage with a dream to sort it out someday.
