Which CMS to choose for a fitness news portal?

We made a design for a new fitness portal on crossfit, weightlifting and extreme sports. The question arose: what CMS to implement this project? Box? frame?
Main functionality:
1. Tagging of articles and tagging of sections
2. Filters by tags
3. User's personal account
4. Adding favorite material to favorites
5. Several types of mailings in personal account
6. recommendations of relevant articles to the main one (recommendations block)
7. Formation of a calendar events (for various sports and competitions)
8. Search by tags

Wordpress, it seems like everything is there, if not, then plugins can be finished off.

LiveStreet is a free (GPLv2) blogo-social networking engine.
The project is implemented using OOP on PHP5+MySQL5 and is built on the principle of the MVC model, which makes it easy to change both the logic of the engine behavior and the appearance.

Drupal
1. Greater flexibility (compared to WordPress, for example)
2. Multi-user mode (again, WordPress is more for blogs)
3. Great potential for further growth of functionality
4. Quick start (compared to writing from scratch)
5. Greater security ( compared to writing from scratch)
6. No dependency on developers. If the project is not done by "students". then changing developers is very easy. After any period of time, we find a new developer who will further expand the functionality. If compared with a self-written system, then there will be a lot of time for the trial "how it works", then a lot of time for "it's crooked, you need to redo it" and so on

Instantcms will definitely suit you - this is an engine for just such purposes. But note that there are 2 completely different branches of the instant and they are very different, but both are very interesting in their own way. Site instantcms.ru

In my opinion MODX Revo will be just right. For finished components, things are like this:

  • Working with tags - there are several options
  • User's personal account - you will have to write, maybe there is something ready, but here, as I understand it, something individual is required. Maybe we should take UserProfile2 as a basis . It seems that there is also an addition of the material you like to favorites. In any case, the favorites are implemented quite simply.
  • Newsletters - Sendex component
  • Recommendations of relevant articles to the main one - apparently, should be implemented through tags
  • Forming an event calendar - A bunch of different calendar components
