Which blogging platform to choose?

Hello! I’m running my telegram channel little by little and came to the conclusion that the content is getting crowded in the cart. Want to do more. There is an idea to create a blog, and in advanced mode duplicate content there.
What you need: embedding audio and video, wide layout / formatting options, I would like to embed pdf / djvu, office documents. Or, at least, their attachment with a preview, or a description. Convenient navigation - a kind of menu, or even a calendar, so that you can select a date and go to the page with this date.

What I tried:
Telegra.ph - I do articles there. I like formatting, links, embedding media content. Don't like that this is not a blog :-)
Pikabu- I duplicate the most interesting materials there. I like everything, except for formatting restrictions, and difficulty with navigation.
Yandex Zen - in general, everything is bad
Boosty.to - I like the possibility of monetization, I don’t like everything else in
VK - no formatting, embedding, nothing.
Wordpress is too complicated, but it's not scary, you can figure it out with time. The biggest problem is the design. I can't into design, from the word at all. Plus, I know what I want, but I don't know how to implement it in WordPress. It would be possible to find a person who would make everything beautiful, but it's expensive. Blogging is my hobby, and it does not bring money from the word at all.
Maybe someone else will tell you something? Or for cheap will undertake to help

Get WordPress. Yes, it’s difficult, but there are a lot of lessons on it ...
I’m not a designer either, but for WordPress there are a lot of ready-made page templates, themes, lessons. I did them, now I understand something ...
