Which adapter to choose. DVI-D or HDMI to VGA?

Please help me choose an adapter. I have a 1440x900 monitor with a VGA input, and I bought the motherboard MSI B450M BAZOOKA V2 with DVI-D and HDMI ports. There are two HDMI and VGA cables. What is the best way to connect so that you can play games. While I have Ryzen 3 2200g in the future I want to take 1060 or RX570-580. Will a short DVI-D to VGA adapter work at least on the built-in? Thanks in advance!
They advise this one, but the price of this is a third of the price of a used monitor.

You bought a motherboard with DVI-D and HDMI - these are purely digital outputs.
Your VGA-only monitor is an analog input.
The adapters in the photo are active. That is, inside them there are chips that convert the figure into an analog, and not stupid wires.
Yes, at such a price and having a desire to buy a normal vidyuhi later, it makes no sense to buy an adapter - buy a FullAshDe monitor with a digital input.
