Where to start with a 17-year-old guy with a head on his shoulders?

Good time of the day.
Recently, more and more often I come across articles about programming on the Internet, which in turn is very interesting, and especially interested in income.
Could you please advise me where to start? I honestly have no idea where the money comes from in this area. I used to think that creating websites brings income, but after reading articles about income, I doubted that this was the only thing.
Please help me decide on the direction, with the choice of what is better to read and about what. I really want to learn programming.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Programming itself for a programmer brings money only for development. Uncle gives you a job, you negotiate a price, you do your job, you get paid. Everything is simple.
It happens that you work for a percentage of sales, have a share in the company.
If you are doing your project, then there are a large number of ways to monetize the project, advertising revenue, sales.

Your earnings will always depend on how much money your development will help the client earn. People who work with large businesses, help solve automation problems, earn a lot, as their work brings profit to the company.
There is also an opinion that it is better not to become a programmer for the sake of money. Professionals who live by this earn good money. Those who came to the industry for money are quickly blown away.

Income brings:
1. Software development (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Jetbrains, 1C ...)
2. Development of large websites and web services used by millions of people (Yandex, Google, Shopify, GitHub, Facebook, Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki)
3. Development of websites and online stores of companies.
From programming, learn algorithms and data structures, discrete mathematics, machine learning and some kind of programming language (preferably Java).
I propose to enter the university to be a programmer. There you will find everything you need.
