Where do you keep notes?

Hello.
The question arose, where is it better to store notes? I use iPhone and Windows, I used to use standard notes, however, every time I turn on icloud through the browser, go to notes, it's long and dreary.
Maybe there are any alternatives? Except for the heavy Evernote and the too simple Simplenote.
