Where do these numbers come from?

Hello.
Tell me, why does Yandex have such measurement results in the Internet meter? My tariff is 30 megabits. How is it possible to pump like that? Should everything be compressed into 30 megabits or less (plus / minus)?

The physical layer is measured in megabits. in megabytes - transport. their ratio is not 8 but closer to 10. what you have on the screen is the same number. probably megabytes * 8 - received megabits
30 megabits under the contract .... can mean anything. the minimum guaranteed, the maximum permissible, the average for a certain period ...
in order to control traffic (cut the channel to the end point), you need to install fairly advanced equipment. in practice, they do not give this, they put the cheapest routers and limit themselves to calculating overselling. that is, 30 megabits is 3 * subscriber overselling per 100 megabit port
