Where can I find the original ESXi 4.1 image?
Good afternoon!
We have the following situation.
There is an old DEPO Storm 1170L2 server, on board of which there is such a mother www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/P4/E7210/P... , here is such an Intel® Celeron® processor with 128KB of integrated Advanced Transfer Cache up to 2.8 GHz and here is a 3ware 9550sx4/8lp controller (the piece of hardware is decommissioned, but our university is poor, so we decided to return it to service).
The task was received from the elder: to install ESXi on this dinosaur, they say, the piece of iron is not stable, it is more reliable.
All attempts to put eseksai from 3.5 to 5.5 were unsuccessful, many times they tried to sew firewood (our hardware is not supported, who would have thought!).
Our last hope was the article habrahabr.ru/sandbox/22856.
In this connection, after much torment and searching, we decided to write here asking for help in finding the original image and firewood for it.
If anyone suddenly knows where to look, please indicate the direction of digging, we will be very grateful!

It is not very clear how the original ESXi 4.1 image will help you if you write that you have tried everything from 3.5 to 5.5, and it did not help.
But a quick google leads, for example, here: www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/2vqu95/anyone_h...
There are links to the 4th versions of ESXi.
What specific hardware is not supported on your server?
Yes, and the light did not converge on VMware. There is Hyper-V, there is VirtualBox. "Fight and seek", as they say ;-)
