Where can I find an admin to set up and maintain the server?
We are going to launch a small web project soon, but there is no admin in the team. Where to find a reliable person who will set up the server, will periodically check if everything is in order and all that.
There was no such person among my acquaintances.
So far, it only comes to mind to look on freelance sites for a freelance admin with good reviews ... Or maybe there are more specialized places?
Who decides such questions?

You can take administration services, like everything else, outsource. And it is better to do it with a legal entity. persons for objective reasons.
You need to understand that if you yourself do not know exactly what you want, then it costs more money than listing what you need (which you yourself can, but lazily).
If the project is small and you are just starting, then it is easiest (cheapest) to solve everything on your own, at a basic level, and if problems and complex tasks arise, look for outside expertise. It seems that at the initial stage the team will only benefit from its multitasking.
Have you considered the “dedicated server” option? Rent a server from a provider with a pre-installed system, the necessary software, and a control panel; monitoring services, updating software and changing settings on request is carried out by the provider. Do not take it for advertising, but for example, in my company this can be fully implemented, if, of course, the FreeBSD system suits :)

Write in a personal if you are interested.
Um. Here? )
In general, according to the recommendations of those who have been working with the administrator for a long time, it is best. Or post vacancies and conduct interviews.
www.best-hosting.ru/server_support.asp many hosters have such things, especially in Russia. True, they look at the servers there out of the corner of their eye, but there is someone around the clock.
Well, I myself unsubscribed in the PM at the same time.
It also depends on the project.
For example, I can manage frey and debian with LAMP - in fact, they do not require much time, update, backup, love and care, but in principle I will not get into site scripts.
But now I'm completely loaded at a new job - I'm completely redoing the infrastructure from scratch and remembering ciscos, and in the evening my brains don't work anymore :(
Kind.
If you still need an admin, write in a personal, we will discuss the details.

It’s not very clear what kind of project you have, but at first glance, it clearly suggests renting a dedicated server and administering it by specialists from the same hosting company - this will turn out to be clearly better and cheaper than the salary of some incomprehensible administrator from the street.
I can see ... one more one less.
Write in private. NDA guarantee.
But for agreement, more details are needed - the expected employment of the admin and the planned workload of the project.
Look in the direction of odesk - it will help to take into account the hours of admins.
Your plans are being implemented, I have both server support and the servers themselves and excellent Internet and addresses as much as you need. The guarantee and obligations are signed by the contract.
