Is it worth going to a remote job without experience?

I am now studying python and layout, I plan to move into server development. But the problem is that for the next 4 years I will not be able to leave my town because of my studies, and there is no work here.
In general, is it worth it (and is it possible at all) to try to get a remote job if you haven’t worked anywhere before?

Freelancing has always been a place for me to look for (and find) projects to practice. I started with the simplest, I learned to type blindly - I transcribed audio to text, then I started learning Photoshop and took on projects related to photo processing. When I studied php, I also took projects that I was already able to complete, the more knowledge, the more difficult the projects. At first it was all sorts of settings for feedback forms, fixing minor bugs, etc. Then it gets more and more difficult, for example, website development, CRM systems, etc. It's the same with the frontend and with all the other technologies that I've studied. Accordingly, the more experience, the higher the prices.
And there are completely different customers - those who need quality will choose more experienced specialists according to their portfolio. And those who need fast and cheap usually understand that they will work with beginners.
As for freelancing, I would recommend it in this case, but it will be difficult to get a permanent remote job without experience, but I think that nothing is impossible. It's worth trying anyway.

In order to be hired, you must have a portfolio. Do something for yourself or fictional projects, this will be your portfolio.

The first 3-5 years of experience should work in a team.
Otherwise, you will learn several times slower.
Get a job in Moscow, and come to your city for sessions, as many do.

If you have the opportunity to work in a strong office, with strong developers , then you will save yourself 10 years of professional growth later.
I worked with such a worker, so to speak, who worked all his life only online.
Nothing but the most basic things - can not.
7 years of experience - at the level of a junior of the same age.
A strong team at the first or second job is immensely cool.
Smart people even for free in such places are eager to train.

Can.
But you are robbing yourself of years of rapid growth (and good money).
You need to learn in a team of very experienced people. Full-time.
You can start working even now - but then your competitors are Indians, those who work for a bowl of rice.
And so it will be for a long time. The limit of dreams (if you're lucky) will be $ 30 per hour.
I worked offline for 3 years, changing to a more difficult job as you grow - you will reach an initial rate of 50 dollars with growth prospects.

If you haven't worked anywhere, it doesn't matter where you go. There, where they will accept and pay, so that there is enough for food and travel. After working like this for six months or a year, you can slowly begin to look for a second, already good job. I worked for the first year in the office, I have no regrets, and I learned what it is. Since 2009, only remotely, spent 2 weeks in the office in total.
As for whether in the office or remotely, you can quickly upgrade your skills, as for me, it’s the same. The main thing is that the team should be of a good level, at least better than yours.

At one time, I tried to look for a job remotely (because there was no possibility of moving), I sent my resume to employers on well-known job sites (hh.ru, etc.), then I began to write also on various forums, simultaneously completing test assignments sent by the employer, after studying job descriptions, I chose a niche for myself (these are frameworks), and then I studied the most popular framework (this is yii2), then one employer found me and asked for my portfolio, which I did not have, I wrote my first web application (it was a blog) based on video tutorials that I found on the Internet, and which helped me understand the framework itself and the model in mvc. Since then, 3 months have passed and I became a Senior PHP developer (and most recently I was a junior), I work with customers, compose technical specifications, write projects, I plan to move to a foreign freelance exchange (now I work with Russian customers, sometimes together with my partner, who taught me, sometimes we partially work together). For the first month, by the way, I earned very little - 1.5k rubles (these are my small improvements to the site and minus the employer's time for his many hours of "guides" on web applications), the next month already ~ 10k. If you can try to find a job, and it is useful to look for a job for a developer - you will find out which technologies are in trend and which are not. In general, "seek and you will find," as the gospel says. for web applications), for the next month already ~ 10k. In short, look everywhere you can - my advice to you.

It depends on the person, in my case I didn’t feel any problems (and I didn’t create problems for anyone) when I started working remotely right away.

To get started, take on a part-time job, I don’t recommend leaving the main place and rushing into freelancing, what if it’s not for you?
