Hello!
A problem has recently appeared on the ASUS K50AB win7 laptop - the sound goes only to the headphones. When you turn off the headphones in the sound driver, it shows that the headphones are still in the 3.5 jack, so the sound does not switch to the speakers ...
Maybe someone encountered this problem? Is it possible to somehow fix the connector or cure it programmatically (send sound to both speakers and headphones)?

Dig into the sound driver settings in the control panel. reassign the default device Speakers, etc. etc.

If there is any Live-CD, try to start from it and see if it will work fine (this will make it possible to make sure that the problem is not hardware) , and then already ... (or immediately if there is no live cd or too lazy to do it)

Reinstall Windows.
