What will be installed in the first option if the Debian Desktop Environment is GNOME?
And why did "professional" students do this?
ps I noted the standard utilities in advance for smart people who would want to count the TS for a fool and write to him that the gnome stupidly adds them in one of the options)))

If you select GNOME (like any DE), task-desktop will be installed anyway, but if only task-desktop is selected, then the DE will depend on the architecture (gnome for x86/x86_64 and xfce for the rest). For x86 your options are equivalent.
PS Standard utilities have nothing to do with GUI.
