What type of licensing is the best?
There is a question about buying software for the following configuration:
4 servers
- Terminal server + 40 RDP Remote App clients (2CPU + 32Gb)
- MSSQL server (2CPU + 64Gb)
- Two hypervisors in a cluster (they have:
--- Two Domain controllers.
- -- File+Print+Antivirus server
--- Spare frozen MSSQL
My rough estimate is around 300,000 at best But I think there are some comprehensive licensing options for medium business
? I understand it is necessary:
For MSSQL:
-- Win Srv Standart 2012 (30,000r)
-- MSSQL (30,000r or 100,000r, I'm already confused about these types of licenses)
For the terminal:
-- Win Srv Standart (30,000r)
-- User licenses (3 500*35 =
122,500r) For servers on hypervisors:
DC: - win server Essentials * 2 (~20,000 * 2 = 40,000r)
File+print server+Antivir: win server Essentials (20,000r) [or is it still standard? ]

Do not save on competent system administrators. It's often cheaper to set up FreeBSD than buying a Win zoo.
But, the price of migration remains unknown, as far as the existing solution is nailed to MSSQL.
